Introduction
dCommerce is an order management platform built for B2B organisations - typically wholesalers, distributors, and manufacturers who take orders from multiple sources and need those orders to land cleanly in the back office.
It is designed for businesses where ordering is more complex than a simple checkout: account-specific pricing, restricted catalogues, multiple buyers per customer organisation, and fulfilment that must stay aligned with the back office.
The core buyer-facing surface is a branded customer portal. Your team operates an admin console. Extra channels (guest storefront, mobile, third-party sync, bulk ingest) and ERP integration are optional as you grow.
What dCommerce is not
- Not a WooCommerce plugin or wholesale theme. WooCommerce is an optional upstream integration.
- Not a replacement ERP. ERP integration is a capability you can enable when ready.
dCommerce is B2B-first (trade customers on an account). It can also support B2C / retail needs in the same tenant when you want both - for example a public guest catalogue beside account ordering - without positioning the product as a pure consumer checkout.
What dCommerce does
Most wholesale and distribution businesses capture orders from several channels - a customer portal, a public storefront, a mobile app, spreadsheets, or other systems. When those channels are detached from inventory and customer master data, teams spend time re-keying, chasing status, and fixing mismatches.
dCommerce consolidates that intake into one controlled process:
- Orders and catalogue activity enter through the channels you enable.
- Pricing, customer rules, and order structure are applied before anything reaches the back office or ERP.
- When ERP integration is enabled, validated orders are submitted to your system of record.
- Fulfilment updates can flow back so order status stays accurate across channels.
Your ERP (when connected) remains authoritative for inventory, invoicing, and fulfilment. dCommerce handles ordering complexity upstream.
Customer and product master data can be maintained in dCommerce, synchronised from your ERP when integration is enabled, or a combination of both - so every channel works from the same commercial records.
Who it is for
dCommerce is a fit when you need to:
- Give customers a branded portal to browse, order, and self-serve account information
- Support contract pricing and restricted product catalogues
- Reduce manual data entry between front-of-house channels and the back office or ERP
- Grow order volume without growing administrative headcount at the same rate
It is less about replacing your ERP, and more about protecting it - while giving buyers and sales teams a better ordering experience. You do not need an ERP to start.
Operating modes
- Without ERP integration - capture and manage orders inside dCommerce. Useful for pilots, onboarding, Core deployments, or businesses that are not yet ready to synchronise a system of record.
- With ERP integration - keep master data and fulfilment aligned with the ERP, while dCommerce continues to own the ordering experience and validation rules.
Deployment options grow with operational complexity - from a central admin hub through multi-channel intake to full ERP-connected operation. See Platform and Pricing for how those options are packaged.
