User Access Control
User access control defines who can see and do what. dCommerce uses role-based access so merchant administration and trade-customer ordering stay within appropriate boundaries.
What this capability covers
- Assigning roles that match operational responsibilities
- Separating admin-console work from customer-portal ordering
- Reducing accidental access to commercial or operational functions
System users work in the admin console. Customer users work in the customer portal (and the customer mobile app where it is enabled). Roles keep those groups apart and allow finer control within each group.
This page stays at evaluation level. It does not list every permission or describe how to configure a role.
Why it matters
The admin console holds pricing, customer organisations, and orders. The customer portal shows an organisation its own catalogue, contract prices, and order activity. Clear access control builds trust with your team and with buyers who expect their account activity to stay scoped to their organisation.
